  For years I've wanted to stay right on the beach. The property is beautiful but I was very surprised at just how LOUD the ocean is when it's at your door, like a thunder storm, especially at night. This didn't bother my husband one bit. If you're sensitive to noise, take this into consideration. That aside, we stayed in the Antigua and it's very nice with a few exceptions...there is very little counter space in the bathrooms and no cabinet or shelve above the sink in the master. Also, the TV was useless. You'd think for 800 bucks a night we could get Netflix or something. We hooked up our computer and the picture was not worth watching. On the upside, it's really cool to wake up, morning or the middle of the night, and stand outside on the balcony looking at the waves. Staff was very responsive. There are two sets of stairs up and then two flights down to the Antigua, then two more flights to the beach. The staircase is a fabulous view of the ocean. We had friends meet us on the patio where we had a covid safe lunch. We walked to the center of Laguna Beach, location and parking was very good.

  This is our 3rd year to rent here and we really enjoyed our visit. The views are amazing. The condo was clean and in good condition when we arrived. We parked our car in the garage at arrival, but walked for the rest of the trip sans a 20 minute drive to Disney during the week. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the grocery store is only a block away. We discovered a new empanada place up from St. Anne's beach that I highly recommend for lunch on the beach. Minor quibbles that need to be addressed: WiFi was very poor in the condo. It did not work in the bedrooms. The gas grill did not work on our patio (we used the community grill with the better view anyway). The beach chairs/umbrellas supplied by the property are all in disrepair and need to be replaced. The gas firepit on the large deck was not operable. In the past the staff would just turn it on/off every night anyway. There are scuffs and signs of wear and tear around the condo building that need to be addressed.

  Usually, any hotel you go to, most people ask for extra towels, but this place was extra stocked, I didn’t even need to ask. I felt like I was on a VIP vacation!!

  As returning renters, Antigua was exactly as we remembered! Even though we only live 30 minutes away, staying right on the beach felt like a different world. Everything was very clean, and when my 5 year old locked my wallet in the safe and didn't know the password, the staff was quick to respond and pop the safe open for me.

  I took my girlfriend and two daughters to this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The location is outstanding not even a half mile from the center of Laguna Beach.   We stayed in the Antigua rental, which was clean and the beach/ocean views never-ending. We were celebrating my wife's birthday on this trip and boy did we select an awesome rental to enjoy it at. We used the BBQ on Antigua's private balcony to cook-up some steak, lobster and veggies one night. Enjoyed our wine and spirts all with spectacular views and sounds of the ocean waves. The fireplace was cozy and romantic. Our Hosts, Karen & Julio, assisted us will all our requests, were always available and made our stay more enjoyable as a result. Karen went the extra mile by giving a local florist, that I purchased roses, pedals, champagne & a balloon from, access to the villa a few hours before we arrived in order to surprise my wife upon arrival and I'm happy to say my wife was very surprised and happy, she said the flowers and villa made her birthday a very special one. Access to and from the beach was a breeze and the sunsets from inside our room and balcony were the icing on the cake. We also saw dolphins on two different days from our balcony. There are a number of great restaurants that were all within walking distance from the villas. While most of our trip excursions were within walking distance, we did drive out to Dana Point Harbor to get a short lesson on paddle boarding and spent the afternoon practicing our paddling in the calm portion of the harbor, it was a lot of fun. It was also nice to only have a short drive back home to the villa, shower & relax the rest of the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying at Sunset Cove Villas again. Thank you Karen & Julio for making it a great experience!

  At check-in, we were given one key for four people and were told that they "ran out" and "what do you want me to do about it, I just got here" from George. The next day, I contacted Samantha who immediately went into problem-solving mode and sent over another key. We then had issues with wi-fi, but Samantha and then Karen jumped on that issue and resolved it for us as well. Samantha was most helpful in assisting us and professional throughout. Once Karen, the manager, got involved, she also worked to make our stay stress free. Aside from wear and tear on bedroom carpets, the place was very clean and lovely. The kitchen was mostly well-stocked (needs more dishes) but thank you for the Starbucks coffee each morning! The location can't be beat and the sound of the waves from every room lulled us to sleep each night. We loved walking down the beach to Splashes for lunch on our first day and to the Deck on our last day. We never needed the car because the location is so perfect-we walked to Ralph's for groceries, to Orange Inn for breakfast, and Nick's and Watermarc for dinners. We also stayed in and cooked, puzzled, read, and ate on the beautiful balcony overlooking the crashing waves below. We had a truly wonderful time and can't wait to book another stay here.

  I can't say enough great things about Sunset Cove Villas. The location is perfect. I never used my car the entire time I was there. You can walk everywhere.   Housekeeping staff was very interested in ensuring the apt was clean and pleasant for us. Leo, after a few brief conversations knew I was hoping to see sea lions and whales so he kept an eye out and told me when there was some activity in the area. I did see 2 whales. Leo also had my fav chaise set up for me each morning and opened the umbrella each afternoon before i thought to ask.
  Could you provide binoculars to watch for whales and see the boats.

Great location with beach downstairs and shopping and food within walking distance.   My life dictates that I am captivated by throngs of people all year long. Our summer escape is on an island in the middle of a massive body of water all alone. Tho Sunset Cove is located in the middle of a busy area, you feel like you are completely secluded from the activity. My wife and I have made a yearly journey across country for about 20 years to stay at this quaint condo.Every year the property looks brand new and never shows signs of wear because of their upkeep policy. Although buildings are on both sides the architectural positioning of the unit including its placement almost over the water facilitates seclusion unsurpassed on the Pacific Ocean. The thunderous applause of the waves serve as silencers to the world around you and therapy to your spirit. Sunset Cove has become a part of our life and I would certainly recommend this property to others.

  Great! Four of us had a great 4 night stay in the Antigua unit in April. We had never been to Laguna before. Watched whales right off the deck! Sunset Cove had all we wanted or could ask for. Tim was very helpful, he gave us the BEST recommendations for restaurants. Cafe Zoolu was worth coming back for, memorably funky! We all felt we had an authentic Laguna vacation.
  (The only negative at all was that the couple staying in the second bedroom / bathroom felt pretty cramped - no where to put anything)

  I absolutely loved the villa and the location...right on the waters edge! Tom and the staff very helpful and friendly. Somewhat disappointed that it did not look like the pics on line. No green tropical plants and flowers as shown on web site. Some hammering noises above us while painters on property. Would love to come back when painting complete with repairs done. Don't get me wrong, overall it is a great stay on the beach.

  We are writing from the warm comfort of "our" Antigua balcony, while listening to the waves crash below us, and overlooking beautiful Sleepy Hollow Beach! Wow! What a BEAUTIFUL place this is! We are so thankful to have made this our home for two weeks! We have been able to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate beyond our hopes...
  
  The attention to detail is everywhere here! We were pleasantly surprised to find a delicious bottle of champagne waiting for us upon arrival (chilled of course), and a nice sized,fine quality candle that has been a perfect accompaniment to our evenings.
  
  The extra fine touches of Antigua cannot go unnoticed; as they are everywhere! The dreamy bedding, Cutco knives, everything you need to cook a gourmet meal including food processor and blender, excellent gas grill, practically silent dishwasher, cozy fireplace, and the well appointed/beautiful decor! We truly do feel "home away from home!" An extra bonus if you love football, you get NFL Network, and ESPN! Also, free WiFi was very nice.
  
  Peter is the Manager of the property, and was a joy to meet! He has kindly looked out for us, adding to this relaxing experience. Also, the rest of the staff here is top notch! Left us wanting for nothing and always sharing their smiles. :) We also got to meet Tim, and he is as kind and genuine as he was over the phone when we booked. We are both discerning when it comes to planning where we will stay on vacation. Tim was so helpful in choosing the right villa for us. We had many questions when we initially called and he was not only ready with the answers, but always pleasant to speak with.
  
  OK, time to pour a glass of wine and continue this very wonderful part of our journey. We raise our glasses to all of you who are reading this, & hope that you too will soon experience what we are experiencing here at Sunset Cove Villas! This is truly a beautiful escape!

  My family truly loves the Sunset Cove Villas! It is in an amazing location, right on the water, across from the grocery store, walking distance to all things in Laguna. We literally NEVER get in our car again once we arrive. We just walk to dinner in town every night and enjoy the gourmet kitchen for easy breakfast/lunch.
  What we love the most is that the water practically breaks under the private balcony and that is so relaxing. I never sleep better than I do at Sunset Cove Villas, the beds are amazing. The sheets and towels are extremely fresh and clean and the unit itself is beautifully clean when we arrive. The finishes in the unit and the on building are high end, beautiful and functional. Granite counters, stainless appliances, gorgeous tile, flat screens, water features, tasteful decorating. It's Awesome!!!

  My family and I said, "We found paradise" upon arriving at Antigua Villa. Well appointed, absolutely beautiful, with incredible views of the ocean from almost every window.   The apartment is spectacular!! And the walk along the beach to Laguna is what holidays are all about.....we had a wonderful stay and our regular guests loved the balcony overlooking the beach. The Sunset Cove team could not have been more helpful ....we are going back I'm sure

  This property was just right for our family. The location was perfect, close to town yet quiet. Having a grocery store so close was helpful too. Being so close to the shore was wonderful. The sound of the waves and the fireplace was a dream. Perfect!
