Our largest villa, the Laguna features three bedrooms and two and one-half baths. Villa Laguna has sweeping panoramic ocean views of Catalina Island. A large private and shaded veranda with gas barbecue and chaise lounges makes this villa ideal for guests to enjoy beach living at its finest. Other features include a gas fireplace, central air-conditioning, large flat screen TV, and an oversize jetted tub in the master bath.

Rising directly above Laguna's dramatic coastline, these luxury, oceanfront accommodations are located in the heart of Laguna Beach. Villa Laguna is within the Sunset Cove Villas complex and is conveniently located within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, galleries and activities.   Can't beat the view, but many of the items in the home were STILL broken from our stay nearly a year and a half earlier. The outside firepit does not stay lit and the maint. crew had to tape, yes tape, the handle down which broke again right after they left. Inside fireplace also did not work. Fridge is not cold, lights in master bathroom, broken and the worst of all, you get 1 parking spot for the ENTIRE house. Sleeps 8, and you're paying a HUGE premium, yet you get 1 spot. It's just silly.

  Our family of four stayed at the Laguna unit for 8 days during March this year. We love the SunsetCove and have stayed at multiple units here before. I must say that the Laguna unit was my favorite so far. The living room area was very large and bright. the deck was the best part as you have your own BBQ, dining and launge area overlooking the ocean.
  
  i would highly recommend SunsetCove. It will always be our go to spot when we vacation in Lefuna Beach.

  The Laguna villa was the perfect place for my birthday beach getaway. The villa was large enough to house 8 guests. Parking was easy; across the street at the sister hotel, Holiday Inn. The views from the patio and common area really make it all worth it and give the place a luxury feel. With easy access down to the beach, there's not more you need for a beach getaway.
  
  The property was as described. It was clean and well-maintained. I booked two villas at this hotel, Laguna and Seychelles, and I'm so glad I did. Julio from Laguna Hospitality Group was able to give me such an amazing deal, I had to book both. All of my friends fell in love with the villa and its dreamy, scenic location. We will definitely be coming back for our next beach getaway.

  Wonderful location, responsive staff, generally quiet, great to have a dedicated parking spot in Laguna Beach. The Laguna Villa is the largest unit in the property. It's spacious and has great layout and views. We were a little disappointed that there is quite a bit of "deferred maintenance" in the unit itself. The fireplace was not operational, an automatic shade did not work in the dining room area (had the control wire sticking out at the top that was corroded so hadn't been addressed for quite some time), paint on many of the cupboards is cracking, etc. Coastal properties have a lot more environmental challenges for maintenance due to the sea air. We were there during an unfortunate fire near Irvine area and the Santa Ana winds brought a lot of smoke and also deposited a lot of ash on the outdoor plants and patios. We were happy to see someone after that episode passed from property maintenance clean off the patios and cushions,, however, the Laguna patio was the only one that did not get cleared of ash debris and we could not find any brooms or dust pans in the unit to clean ourselves. Other than those minor inconveniences, it is a lovely and quiet place to stay and the views and easy access to the beach are fantastic. Staff when making and updating reservation times was super helpful and responsive. Overall, a nice escape and hope some of the deferred maintenance will be addressed over time. We would definitely stay again!

Easy access from garage. Quite a few steps down to the beach. Because villa is up top of the complex, the view is of the ocean & community deck; very beautiful. If you want more of a beachfront/sand view and to hear the waves, the two bedroom villas are better (Antigua & Martinique).

  This is our 4th year staying at SUndet Cove for over a month each time. If I had 15 million to buy one of the adjacent beach houses, I wouldn't as there's no advantage. Villa Laguna is spectacular, and the location of Sunset Cove is perfect, quartermile to downtown, walk to Heisler Park., directly on the beach. The Deck, restaurant next to us is extremely popular. We never go as we have better sunset views and the drinks are cheaper. Management changed two years ago, and it was a learning curve year one, but they have their act together and it's better now than before. We hope to come here for many years.

  Huge three bedroom unit, beautifully appointed. The unit overlooks a d KCRA with fire pit. You can’t see much of the beach from the unit but it does have a beautiful view of the water. There were plentiful dishes, pots and pans, linens, etc, There is extra covered parking across the street so the parking shortage from our past stays is fixed. The only downside was that the dishwasher was broken and the refrigerator water filter needed to be replaced.

  This was my 2nd stay at one of the villas in Sunset Cove; this time the property is under different ownership. The unit is exactly as pictured, impeccably decorated and completely outfitted with whatever you might need. Overall, the Laguna unit was fantastic, however there were a few details that needed to be addressed (which I shared with the property management before departing). There was a spot in the master bath where the toilet roll holder had obviously been moved/repaired and the wall was not painted; the small (secondary) exterior side entrance gate did not lock no matter how firmly it was closed; the powder room bath toilet ran after every time it was used; the blender and food processor were inoperable. Additionally, the unit had obvious signs of general wear and tear (i.e. paint cracking/chipping on cabinets in the kitchen and master bath and a few other places). The same goes for the outside of the entire property. Although clean, the property exterior/surroundings generally did not seem to be in as pristine and manicured condition as it had on my prior stay. Considering there was a somewhat significant price increase from my prior stay 20 months ago, I would expect that the level of maintenance and upkeep would remain at an extremely high standard. Those issues that I've mentioned notwithstanding...I would stay at Sunset Coves whenever I come to Laguna; it is a beautiful property, perfectly located for whatever you want to do in Laguna. It is literally across the street from a grocery store and within walking distance of several places to eat, shop or relax at the beach (or spa). Sunset Coves is the perfect destination for stay in Laguna!

The chairs were all broken and I have no clue why they are offered at all.   When you book a place like this... there’s always a thought in the back of your mind that the place has been over-sold... that the pictures & description don’t properly represent it. But I’m telling you that this place AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL... really it is! The place is so nice & spacious & comfortable, with a full wall of windows that provide an open view of the ocean. You glide your patio door open to find the most amazing deck layout with ample table seating, loungers, fire pit, etc. We had a big patio private to our “Laguna” unit... with easy access to the even larger decking shared with other property guests (although even that decking felt private since we visited at a less-busy time). Also off the decking was a cool concrete stairway that leads down to the ocean. They provided ample towels (which btw their bath towels were the biggest towels I’ve ever encountered). The bedding was so comfortable, & the furnishings aren’t the “rental quality” often found in rentals. We enjoyed the gas fireplace each evening (since our December stay included chilly nights). We rented a car... but kept it parked in their private garage our entire stay because this place is located within walking distance to all sorts of fun shopping, good restaurants, etc. The booking process was super easy, and the onsite manager (Leo) was great. (We had one minor reason to need to call Leo, and he attended to the issue immediately.) Upon arrival, we were greeted with a few bottles of water and a bottle of Champagne...which we promptly popped and toasted to the fabulous “home-away-from-home” that we lucked into. We found ourselves more and more infatuated with the place each day. A part of me considered not leaving such a glowing review because I’d love for this place to be available for if/when we revisit the area... but a place like this is way too nice to not be appreciated by others.   Overall my family and I had a great 7-night stay in this unit. The unit was very modern, clean and it came fully stocked with all the comforts of home, such as a choice of fine china or regular dishes, combination of drink-ware, pots/pans, regular and beach towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner, and Satellite and Internet ready TV's.
  
  Tim and Leo (owner & management staff) were pleasant to work with.
  
  There is a Ralph's (grocery store) across the street along with PLENTY of restaurants and shops to choose from.
  
  The ONLY reason I gave an overall rating of 4 is due to the CLOSE proximity of the other units. You can hear your 'neighbors' in the next unit from the Master Bedroom and the exterior balconies are not as private as one would like -- we can all see and walk onto each other's balconies. One time during our stay we had an unexpected visitor who had wandered on to our unit space by accident.

  I have stayed several places in Laguna Beach (over many vacations) and this house is, by far, my favorite. We stayed in the Laguna villa and it was beautifully decorated, with all the comforts of our home. It was quiet, relaxing and just steps away from the beach. Service was excellent. We were greeted in person and any request we had was promptly addressed. Example: We could not figure out how to ignite the gas grill on our balcony and sent a message to request instructions. Leo stopped by within minutes to help. I can't wait to plan our next vacation here!

  Our stay was to have been for 4 adults and 2 children. The "Laguna Villa" is perfect for a family stay with 3 bedrooms and 2 & 1/2 baths. It was better than the pictures show.
  Will did not disappoint!!
  The only disappointment we had was our family could not come because our 9 year old grand daughter had to under go major surgery and was still in the hospital.
  We can't wait to go with them so we can show them this beautiful spot and enjoy it together.
  Property management was very professional with great customer service!

  The Laguna unit was way better than the pictures. Everything was top of the line from the bathrooms to the appliances to the linens. I'm a bit of a clean freak and do my own cleaning when I travel and this place was spotless. The private deck is huge. There is plenty of room with 2 chaises, a sitting area and dining table and chairs. The view is killer. The whole backside of the unit is glass and ocean view. We saw Dolphins most mornings from the deck. There are private stairs that take you directly to the sand. This location is short walking distance to Main Beach and all the shopping and restraunts. We are repeat customers for sure!

  We stayed in "Laguna", a beautiful 3 bedroom condo at Sunset Cove in Laguna Beach, the first few days of June, 2015. The condo is absolutely wonderful - large, spacious, spotlessly clean with every amenity you could desire. The kitchen is modern and everything is updated and new. There is a wonderful welcome bottle of champagne in the fridge, and fresh coffee, milk and sugar for the morning. The view is amazing - the building is sitting right on the beach, just steps from the ocean.

  We were delighted and surprised to see that the property had received a high quality facelift as it was very good last time around.
  
  The changes though have elevated the fixtures and fittings to elite levels and freshened things up.
  
  Anyone wanting a high standard accommodation within a 5 minute walk to the hub of bars and restaurants in the idilic Laguna Beach, look no further. We intend to return for a third year in 2016 and hopefully beyond that.

  We arrived to Laguna and were greeted by Peter the building manager. He is very sweet and extremely helpful. The unit is beautiful and very clean. We are extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and this place passed with flying colors. The view is superb and the beach is great for small kids. The waves were small, boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas were provided. There was a warm outside shower to rinse of all the sand prior to going back to your Villa. Just a note that there are a LOT of stairs from the beach to the units... we didn't mind the exercise but if you have trouble with stairs it could be an issue if you want to go to the beach. We plan on coming back every year.
